Company Profile
After fierce competition with major utilities and windpark developers, Freedom Wind Energy, LLC was awarded the exclusive right to develop a windpark on 6,000 acres owned by the Cambria County Recreation and Conservation Authority in Patton, Pennsylvania. The site was purchased with a grant by the State of Pennsylvania in order for the county to build and operate an ATV park.
The site is a reclaimed former coal strip mine. It continues to have active oil and gas wells. The windpark will add to the history of this site in providing another form of natural power, while the ATV park will bring many people to the site to enjoy the outdoors and marvel at the majesty of these huge wind turbines.
In conjunction with renewable energy programs established in many states, Freedom Wind Energy is working diligently in identifying, developing, and managing wind turbine sites across North America in order to contribute to the process of freeing the economy from the dominance of polluting and vanishing fossil fuels.
Freedom Wind Energy utilizes only the latest high tech wind turbines from leading manufacturers, providing high efficiency and megawatts of power to the local electrical grid.
States are providing incentives for renewable energy through Renewable Portfolio Standards, (RPS), which require all utilities to have a certain percentage of electricity generated by renewables. The time is now for renewable energy and wind power is the fastest growing energy source!
